Christian F. Stepansky, M.D., is board certified in adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. A native of Chicago, he completed his undergraduate degree in Classical Studies from the University of Chicago, graduating with honors. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2003. He completed his adult psychiatry residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital McGaw Medical Center in 2007 after serving one year as Chief Resident.

For nearly two decades, he has worked with veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to military and sexual trauma. He has been actively involved in the teaching and supervision of medical students and psychiatry residents from the University of Illinois at Chicago and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He has studied psychoanalytic theory and practice at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute. He lives with his wife and six children in the suburbs of Chicago.
